Love above your Understanding
Hello to you, trust you are doing great; so we are in the season of Love as we call it, the red week.

Anyways, what’s this love? I wouldn’t jump into the very technical and huge definitions that most of us derive from personal experience. Love for me is Jesus Christ, I’m not sounding religious here but logical; I mean what else could be Love if not giving your own life for another I don’t think anything can top that ever. Giving your life for someone or people that hate, despise and crucify you; how many of us would do that for another today.
Jesus Christ who to me is love told us to love one another just as we love ourselves. Today, how many of us who believe in love actually practice this to those we don’t understand; those who do things we are not fond, those who don’t share our beliefs, those who are from different tribes and culture and so many other situations. It is really common for people to criticize what they don’t understand; it’s even worse when they build on the criticism to lunch campaigns against these heathens however this shouldn’t be so especially amongst we youths; we should be able to diffuse from the stereotypical school of thought the older generation is full of. Showing love to all man should be priority for us all not just another act.

"Love your neighbor as yourself” the words from Jesus Christ; this means you have to love yourself and show it to yourself. Interpreting this means taking good care of yourself, doing the right things always to make sure your body and your soul is at peace, wanting true fulfillment for yourself regardless of the inconveniences it takes; so now the question is how many of us are actually loving ourselves enough to love our neighbors, you can’t love your neighbor if you don’t love yourself. So let’s start by making sure we love ourselves through God, actually truth and discipline.
Now you love yourself, do you love neighbor as much? Do you want success for them just as you do for yourself? Do you even consider their challenges or even show empathy towards them? Do you love them despite not understanding them? this last question is huge for me because it cuts through almost everybody you can think of; leaders, priests, servants, children, religious fanatics and so on. A lot of people segregate who they show love to and it’s a big shame; the first law is Love, so regardless of your understanding of other people show love to them, be cheerful to them, be at peace with them and I believe then and only then can we live a life of fulfillment.
So as you spend tomorrow with a loved one or ones, take time to reflect on how well you have loved those persons that you don’t understand; those from other ethnic group, other religion, other sexual orientation, other races and look at how you can improve on your attitude towards these ”people”
Do have a lovely week.
