Found a letter and brought me some tears

I was cleaning through some files this afternoon and i came across a letter i made for a dear friend. She was suffering from cancer at that time but unfortunately, she didn't survive. However, the strength she showed at how she was able to handle herself gracefully, inspite and despite the pain and hardship she underwent, was pretty much inspiring.

I was close to tears when I reread it. Here it goes:

*We do not exactly know what you are going through. But we are aware that there's a lot going on in your life right now, and a lot of it isn't really pleasant.

It may leave you feeling overwhelmed, tired and feels like you just can't cope. After all, we know what cancer can do.

Cancer can do so much to you, altering your body, changing what you were.

But I have read somewhere that there are also a lot of things that cancer CANNOT do:

"It cannot cripple LOVE,
It cannot shatter HOPE,
It cannot corrode FAITH,
It cannot destroy PEACE,
It cannot kill FRIENDSHIP,
It cannot suppress MEMORIES,
It cannot silence COURAGE,
It cannot invade the SOUL,
It cannot steal ETERNAL LIFE,
It cannot conquer the SPIRIT."

Apparently, CANCER is limited and it is something you can BEAT.

So, while Cancer really stinks, always remember that you will be our same sweet no matter what -- the same charming eyes, beautiful smile, your laughs, your inner love and beauty.

And if there's something to learn from the cancer diagnosis, it is learning that you are STRONGER than you imagine, and knowing that you are LOVED more than you know.
