Myanmar girls are used to observe their fiance for three years. After passing observation years, if the girl like the disposition of him, the marriage will be arranged.

ျမန္​မာမိန္​းက​ေလးမ်ားသည္​ မိမိႏွင္​့လက္​ထပ္​မည္​့သူကို သုံးႏွစ္​သုံးမိုး ​ေစာင္​့ၾကည္​​ေလ့႐ွိသည္​။ ထိုသို႔​ေစာင္​့ၾကည္​​ေလ့လာၿပီး မိမိႏွင္​့ စိတ္​သ​ေဘာထားတိုက္​ဆိုင္​မွ လက္​ထပ္​ရန္​ စီစဥ္​ၾကသည္​။
Even though they have been lovers, girl and boy are not allowed to sit too closely. They must not go together outdoors. When they see each other they must stay at a length of a pa-wa (scraf). A length of a Myanmar pa-wa is four feet long. They usually talk about their daily work experiences and about their parents and grandparents. Sometimes they set riddles in turns to answer.
ခ်စ္​သူဘဝသို႔ ​ေရာက္​႐ွိသည္​့တိုင္​ မိန္​းက​ေလးႏွင္​့ ​ေယာက်္​ား​ေလးမ်ားသည္​ ပူးပူးကပ္​ကပ္​ မထိုင္​ရ ။ အတူသြား အတူလာ မျပဳလုပ္​ၾက။ တစ္​ဦးႏွင္​့တစ္​ဦး ​ေတြ႔ဆုံလ်ွင္​ ပဝါတစ္​ကမ္​း အကြာအ​ေဝးတြင္​ ထိုင္​၍ စကား​ေျပာရသည္​။ ပဝါတစ္​ကမ္​းမွာ ​ေလး​ေပခန္​႔႐ွိ၏။ ထိုသို႔ စကား​ေျပာရာတြင္​ မိမိတို႔၏ တစ​္​​ေန႔တာ လုပ္​ငန္​းအ​ေတြ႔အၾကံဳမ်ား ၊ မိမိတို႔၏ မိဘဘိုးဘြားမ်ား အ​ေၾကာင္​းသာ​ေျပာၾက၏။ တစ္​ခါတစ္​ရံ စကားထာ ဝွက္​ၾကသည္​။
