The Old Fashioned Floppy Disks|远古时代的软盘

I still remembered it clearly, when I first get involved with computer and internet - it was year 2000 (yeah, the Y2K thingy that scared the shit out of many people!)

During that moment, if we want to save any important stuffs, such as Microsoft documents - the almighty "Floppy disk" would be your best pal!

Floppy disk aka disk or diskette (whatever you want to call it) is a basic disk storage. It being manufactured with a disk of thin yet flexible magnetic storage, which is fully sealed in a rectangular plastic case or enclosure.

The main function of floppy disks are mainly for read and written, by using floppy disk drive aka FDD.

Fun facts about floppy disks - it started with a huge 8 inch, then 5.25 inch and became even smaller with only 3.5 inch!

When I was in college, I mostly used floppy disks for saving all my homeworks, exam papers and projects (also some games that required less than 1.44 mb)

After 2008, floppy disks and floppy disk drives are officially became part of the computer's arena history.

I was wondering, anyone here used floppy disks before?
