It is true that we our natural man is born of the flesh, and even after we being born of the spirit, the flesh still exercises on influence over our lives.
The flesh is very selfish, and it always ask for things that satisfies it, things that suits it's own taste, which are contrary to the will of God.
The flesh pushes us against the commandments of God, it tries to push us out of the will of God, and into doing it's own will, but we can and we should overcome it.
As Christians, we must be careful, though the flesh try it's best to get us to do its bidding, we must know that we are able to resist it by the spirit of God, who dwells in us.

The way of the spirit is always better than the ways of the flesh, and both are always laid before us, the one we support is the one that prevails and rules our lives, so choose wisely who your lord would be your flesh, or the spirit of God.
