SPROUTED BLACK SESAME: HOW TO MAKE AND FOR WHAT?

Friends, do you know sesame can be not only white but also blac, and we can sprout it to get superfood?

To tell you the truth, I have recently discovered it, and I didn't know there is black sesame that is much more useful than his white "brother".

The thing is black sesame is natural, nad white one is polished.
Its shell has already been removed! It means that most of its usefull properties have already been lost!

The taste of black sesame is bitterish, but the oil from it turns out to be more useful. White seeds have a soft nutty taste, they often are used for cooking bakery and sweets.
The aroma of black sesame is brighter than the smell of white.

Black sesame is an absolute champion in vitamins and nutrients, including calcium!

Sprouted sesame seeds are the record holders for calcium: ### about 1500 mg per 100 g. This is much more than in dairy products.

Eating sprouted seeds is one of the best ways to deliver to the body the maximum useful microelements that seeds can offer.

Seeds of white sesame are not suitable for germination, since they were pre-treated.

So we take only black sesame for it.

HOW TO MAKE SPROUTED SESAME?

It's rather easy!

Take seeds, wash them carefully, and put into the water for 5-6 hours. This time is enough for them to take as much water inside as they need to grow sprouts later.

Then we pour water out, and turn the glass upside down to let the rest of water go away. Too much wet can prevent our process.
To make it easier, just use a piece of gauze.

Let seeds sprout.
it will happen the next day already!

So here're the first sprouts!!

They appeared really in about 24 houra or even less.

Then they start to grow very fast!

So when they're about 5 mm length, you can use them for eating**!

I added them to any dishes we had.
The best they look and taste in salads.

You can save them in the fridge for 3 days.
