Gladiolus||Beautiful Cut Flower
One of the most beautiful cut flowers is Gladiolus flower because it has a very diverse color variation. The variations are pure white, bright red, purple, pink, and deep red.
Gladiolus flowers have a fairly large size of stem and flower petals. And, regarding the buds of colorful Gladiolus it grows on elongated and muscular flower stalks, with a pointed stem tip and leaves similar to the shape of a sword that has a sharp tip, and a pointed tip.
In sub-tropical countries, gladiolus tubers will experience a period of dormancy (rest), starting from autumn and winter. In spring, the bulbs will sprout, grow into plants during the summer, and flower very beautifully.
For gladiolus cultivation can be done by seeds, but it takes several years, before the bulb is large enough, until the plants produce flowers. The parent bulbs that are cultivated continuously will eventually run out of energy, until the flowers get smaller. Usually, farmers raise these parent tubers for three planting periods, then new seeds will come from enlarging the child's tuber.
