Nescafe Drink

The initial traces of Nescafé's production can be seen from the past, in 1930, when the Brazilian government first approached Nestlé Company. Parties from the Brazilian Coffee Institute asked Nestlé to preserve their enormous coffee surplus, by means of the development of hot water-soluble coffee products.

The coffee expert Max Morgenthaler and his team immediately tried to find a way to produce a quality cup of coffee that could be made easily, by simply adding water but preserving the natural flavor and aroma of coffee.

After a long seven years of research in the Nestlé laboratory in Switzerland, they found the answer. The new product is called Nescafé - a mix of Nestlé and Café. Nescafé was introduced by Nestlé, as the first commercially successful soluble coffee, in Switzerland on April 1, 1938. The company applied the technology to its plant in Hayes, west London.

Instant coffee processing is not a new idea, it has been discovered by a Japanese chemist in 1901 and has been marketed and sold by other companies but not successful. Nestlé is revolutionizing the way instant coffee is made. Nestlé developed a new way to eliminate the water content of the coffee concentrate, which improves quality significantly. By spraying fine mist the solution of coffee concentrate to the heating tower that turns the water point into a powder instantly.

In the first half of the next decade, although World War II hindered its success in Europe, Nescafé was exported to France, Great Britain and the United States. His fame grew rapidly in the second half of the decade. As is well known, the entire production of Nescafé in the US factory was then reserved for military purposes.

In the 1950s, coffee has become the preferred dish for teenagers, who like to hang out in coffee shops to hear the latest rock roll music.

From year to year the company continued to emphasize in innovation buses, introducing soluble pure coffee (1952) which all use roasted coffee beans, invention of instant dried freeze (1965), and the discovery of grain / granule coffee (1967). Such innovations make sure Nescafé becomes the world coffee market leader. The brand also occupies a third place based on the value of the product brand in the beverage sector, after Coca-Cola and Pepsi.
