Geographically, Tongging Village is in the lower plains, while Sipiso-piso Waterfall is located in the hills higher than Tongging Village.
This waterfall is located at an altitude of approximately 800 meters above sea level (asl) and is surrounded by a green hill because of pine forest overgrown.
The name of waterfall managed by the local government of Karo Regency has a unique meaning. As mentioned in the daily news of Suara Indonesia Baru, that Sipiso-piso comes from piso which means knife.
The rushing waters falling from a hill above a hundred meters are thought to be like sharp blades. In addition, the steep cliffs when viewed from the top of the hill make locals call it piso from Tanah Karo
