steemit websocket had been updated, please change it from Settings page of app to new node:
wss://steemd.steemit.comorwss://node.steem.wsEarly next week update is coming to address some other issues, including this.
I can't change the websocket . I mean, I can type the new value in the field, but when I try to save the change, it goes back to the old value

I was able to change the default sync server (after unsuccessfully trying to save a new value in the field) by switching to the Golos network (save and restart). When I switched back, the default steem node had changed to node.steem.ws. Hope this helps.
