Destination! Continent that's dark
Where dwellers are black
Their ways primitive
Their thought impulsive
image
Their rulers are drunks
And the rest are skunks
Give them the wine
And have their gold like brine

Mission to plunder
And keep the folks asunder
Rob them of their fruit
As they follow suit

Their faith all nonsense
And gods full of silence
Are but man's craft
And nothing but witchcraft

Give them the real truth
And nothing but the truth
Make them apprentice
To discharge our justice

Ah Olokun! Why did you sleep
And not trap her in the deep?
She's less than sister Titanic
And you mighty in magic.
image
Did your stupor come from rum
Given out of her drum?
And glutony of gins
Brought chain to your kins.

Oh guardian of the sea!
Why fail to see the new slavery
In guise of discovery?

And you Yemoja the queen
Whose beauty never been seen
Why not use you charm
In the sea to disharm

Is the blade in her trail
Sharper than tip of your tail
And the speed of her sail
Much for the brush of your scale

The lure of mirror
That never showed her horror
Given to reflect your beauty
Enticed you to the filthy

But she harmed far less
Than those careless
Entrusted with power
As she returned across the river

They made fortunes slump
As they live to be plump
Stacking away treasures
Living large in pleasures
