The Cat by the Window - Poem

She sat by the window,
With an air of importance.

An attitude that needs no description,
For it's one we all know.

The message that came in,
Was dissapointing indeed.

Did try luck in more than one way,
But finally had to resign by the window.

With much thought over the topic,
The seat beside the window was much better,
Thank being out in the sun,
As many times before.

It never came to thought,
That being inside the house,
Would draw in closeness.

It wasn't a surprise,
As the course of events changed.

It was in air,
The change and the promise of a better future.
