Creature at the House - Poem
Drew breath and possibly the soul out.
The night darker by it,
Turned into a chilling one.
The carriage pulled in,
The horses reluctant.
Pulling the carriage door open,
Stepped into the evil uninviting night.
Cry of a wolf,
Pierced the loomy night.
A candle seemed burning,
Near the wooden door.
Walking in closer,
Came a figure in sight.
A face pale as pale could be,
Drained of blood it looked.
An attempt at smiling,
Seemed more like an evil sneer.
It hissed an ancient language,
Not so ancient in comparison to it.
I extended my hand,
In greeting to it.
Hastily it offered and withdrew,
An icy cold hand that sent shivers down me.
Awesome
