Aceh is famous for its distinctive high-flavored culinary cuisine, such as noodles, coffee, pliek sauce, catch chicken and many others. Although famous with a myriad of traditional culinary offerings, but not all young people recognize the typical culinary origin of Aceh. Especially for those who originate and grow up in areas far from local customs.

More than 154 traumatic foods are found in this Serambi Mecca land, but its existence has disappeared with the development of the times and the influx of new culinary from other regions, even the west.

One of the traditional foods that have been forgotten by some people of Aceh, especially the younger generation is Apam. Apam is a food made from a mixture of rice flour, coconut milk, coconut water, water, and salt and sugar. The apam is cooked on a ground plate (ceuprok tanoh).
