Precautions for Spreading Ebola Virus

The earliest contagion of Ebola virus is through contact with infected animals whose spreading occurs directly with the patient. There are several steps we can take to prevent and limit the spread of the virus.

Find out about Ebola virus as much as possible.
If any family member or anyone around you who may be infected by Ebola, immediately take them to undergo examination and treatment at the hospital.
When visiting patients in the hospital or around the patient, use the safest protection possible. For example by wearing masks, gloves, as well as clothing and protective goggles.
Always wash hands, especially after direct contact with the patient's skin. Included also with blood, body fluids, and objects around the patient.
The bodies of Ebola sufferers should be treated with maximum protection and by trained people in handling such cases.
Avoid traveling to areas with high Ebola cases like West Africa.
