I have a mobility scooter that I used to get around in the house and the neighborhood. I no longer drive, so these days I stay pretty close to home. But my house is set up perfectly for me so that I am able to live alone. My daughter stops in for a half hour each morning and does the things that I need help with, like taking out the trash carts.
The treatments are beyond brutal. I am so sorry that you have had to do that.
I was going to get a scooter. But then decided against it. They even put a handicap ramp up. I will walk again so I don’t need it . I am walking better each day. Another month and it should be good
They are great and help people in all areas. Outside, inside
They are good in that help you save your energy for the important stuff. Mine keeps me from falling, which had been happening far too frequently. Even if I stand on occasion, I always have a place to sit back down when I use my scooter. Plus, I can go places that I had given up on. They have a far greater range than I had back when I was using a walker, so I can go for a scooter ride through the park, or a museum, or the boardwalk along the lakeshore. All things that I had given up on and thought I would never be able to do again.
Yes they have greatly improved quality of life. I agree. You can not compair a walker to a scooter. A walker will ware you out. And does not provide the deverisity of a scooter. Use your scooter and get out of the house. Good deal
My walker is one of those rollator things, but even so you still need your hands to use it. Which means that I can't carry anything around the house. When I'm on my scooter I can take laundry from one room to another and make myself a cup of tea and move it over to the table. All things that are hard to do when you are trying to use a walker using the scooter has definitely improved my quality of life. How are you feeling today?
I get it and might not be explaining it because I have a walker and use the wheelchair.
A walker is a oversized Kane .
I am doing ok. Have to get up and do some walking 🚶 exercising . Ohhh what fun.

Ah, good. I misunderstood and thought when you said that you were not going to get a scooter that You Were Somehow managing without anything. It's good to know that you are using whatever you need to make life easier right now.
The flag of abuse report. @abh12345 can let me know if I am explaining this correctly. Many of the top commenters in the engagement League were picked up by a marvelous voting trail that has been up voting our comments all week. It has really been an exciting and wonderful thing. As far as I can see the abuse report is not aimed at me, but rather at the bot trail that has been voting our comments. It is part of a bot / flag War that has been going on for some time.
OOoooohhh no I have things available and I could get a scooter. But I need to get up and walk. Now I wobble and bounce of the walls. :)
