Day 235: 5 Minute Freewrite: Sunday - Prompt: Mold
Four years ago, Grace and her landlord quarrelled. It was about the rehabilitation of her apartment which the landlord neglected for years. She had lodged complaints to him severally but he wasn't responding.
On this day, when he came to demand payment for rent, she refused to pay and proceed to inform him that she will use rent fee for the rehabilitation. This the landlord did not take politely and resulted in dispute which other neighbors had to separate them. She however threatened to kill him before morning.
This statement is the reason she's in prison today, tragedy struck before the following morning as the Landlord was declared dead from gun shot. The top suspect was Grace and there was no hesitation before picking her up as police conduct their investigations. Years had gone now, investigations still leading to no where in particular and Grace has been regretting ever making that statement.
When the new Commissioner of Police came into office, he read her file and he became interested. He setup a new method of investigation, his method of investigation broke the mold and led to a new discovery which is about to set her free.

Poor Grace!!! A word said in anger had so many consequences for her.
