I'm not sure @mrshev is kidding. I recently learned that most of the recycling that I do is what's referred to as "aspirational recycyling." That is, I like to think that greasy pizza box is going to be recycled into a new cardboard box, but it will end up in the landfill instead, along with most of the things I painstakingly rinse and scrub before putting out with my recyclables. We used to send it all to China, but they got tired of all the poor quality recyclables so now they end up in US landfills. But, I still like to hope I'm doing some good...
Hi Jon. My friend said they have different trucks coming for different bins. Let's hope that our efforts are not wasted. At the end of the day, we can only do so much. 😊
I agree. I still make the effort, even after reading several articles that should have dissuaded me. If even a portion gets recycled, at least we've done something good :-)
We do our part and spread the word, rest of the uncontrollable variables are well... Out of our hands. Fingers crossed. You're the Man, for making conscious effort.
