You've hit the nail on the head, here. The move down is a massive joint effort from BTC whales and institutions that realize BTC is the future of money because it is essentially the digital gold that backs all cryptocurrency. They want the price down so they can get in cheap for the next unavoidable bull run.
Yes, this is what I feel. Will we ever really know? Only time will tell.
