Thai Photo Contest: Let there be peace among my cats, ขอให้แมวมีความสงบสุข

This is my entry for #thaiphotocontest59 hosted by @thaiteam, dailypetphotography by @kona and #catsnaps by @manorvillemike.

After having their breakfast and lying around the garden for an hour, these orange cats would run upstairs as soon as they heard me opening the door. I would let them come in and walk around the house. They always go straight to the kitchen and just wait for me. They would start crying for attention when I go to get my morning coffee. They are used to having some snack in the kitchen. They would not stop crying until I give them something special.

They would not stop crying until they feel that they have enough share of the snack. Then they woukd start to clean their faces. That tells me that they will be going to sleep on their spots on the table. So, I could expect peace and quiet in the house for several hours while they are sleeping. I would tiptoe to see how they are sleeping from time to time. I have to stop breathing sometimes to keep very quiet for fear of waking them. I even have to lower the volume on my speakers for my cats. I have no idea how my cats have become dominant in my house! Perhaps I have always been too considerate and sensitive to others’ needs.

แมวส้มสองตัวเริ่มพูดม่ก และรู้ภาษาคนมากขึ้น เราสามารถสื่อสารกับแมวได้มากขึ้น ดูเหมือนแมวก็พยายามพูดกับเราโดยดัดเสียงในลำคอ มันทำให้เราอึ้งไปเหมือนกัน หลังจากกินอาหารเช้าและนอนเล่นในสวนสักชั่วโมงกว่า แมวจะขึ้นมาคอยที่หน้าประตูบ้าน มันจะรอจังหวะที่เราออกมานั่งดื่มกาแฟตอนเช้า วิ่งอย่างเร็วเข้ามาในบ้าน แล้วก็ไปนั่งในห้องครัว มันเคยได้กินขนมแมวในห้องครัว ตอนนี้เลยกลายเป็นความเคยชิน พอเราเดินเข้าไป พวกแมวจะส่งเสียงร้องดังมาก เรียกร้องขอขนมกิน ถ้าให้กินไม่พอ พวกมันก็จะไม่หยุดร้องทั้งสองตัว นี่เป็นการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่คาดไม่ถึง จากที่ไม่ค่อยยอมพูดมาเป็นร้องประสานเสียงลั่นห้อง เราก็ต้องยอมให้เพื่อความสงบสุขในบ้าน พอพวกมันกินเสร็จก็จะทำความสะอาดหน้าตา ทีนี้เรารู้เลยว่า พวกแมวกำลังจะไปหาที่นอนประจำที่โต๊ะแน่นอน พอมันนอนหลับ ความเงียบสงบก็กลับมาในบ้าน เราต้องพยายามไม่ทำเสียงดัง และลดเสียงจากลำโพงเพื่อไม่ปลุกแมวตื่น เวลาแอบไปดูแมว เราก็ต้องไม่หายใจเพราะกลัวทำเสียงดัง เราไม่รู้ว่าพวกแมวมามีอิทธิพลเหนือเราได้อย่างไร เรากลายเป็นคนเกรงใจพวกแมวตั้งแต่เมื่อไรกัน ไม่น่าเป็นไปได้เลย!
