This is a great story, @niallon11. You perfectly captured the dog's intensity of feeling, the fear and hope and worry that perplexes the mind of a dog who must wait what seems like eons for the return of his owner. And of course we don't quite know who the protagonist is until toward the very end, which comes as a great surprise. I love it!
