Some progress on getting full custom-made characters / soldiers for our animation.
I begun to work with a basemesh model of a human i made a while ago, wich will come in handy to modelize parts of equipment / gear around (like gauntlets, chestplate, boots and the likes) i like it better to have at least a good average 30 year old model of a human so the proportions are well in place and i can make almost 'universal' size for all types / kind of armors.
Here's what we got with one of my helmet.
Gotta modelize those solerets / metallic boots with articulated plates.
Yeah, 3d models have no genitals, mostly for not going nsfw with my posts but also because, well, we don't need it for what we are doing here xD
The hinge of the helmet is also mechanically functionnal and can be animated if the character needs to lift it up to take a closer look to a particular event or look at something in total disbelief.
