That's great...😉 Thank you Artem, please join with about link!

And thank you too ) I have regestrated )

For potential helpers' information, roughly speaking, I spent around 5-6 hours in total to get it done (chn, traditional). It was kind of fun. Get on board!

Thanks @deanliu, you are right even though we have roughly 230 phrases, some of them sentences and some of them plain words like (vote, comment, etc.) those translations can easily be used for Steemit and Busy as well. My hope is to find some ways to combine all these translation efforts across different apps. Some new words will be added as we expand the functionalities.

Also have talked with few Chinese community members, considering multiple app store submission of eSteem on Chinese mobile app stores. Please feel free to suggest, what App store is your favorite, after Chinese language review is done, we can do release to those stores.

If the date comes to release on the Chinese stores, preselect Chinese (default) so they don't need to find out how to change the language (sorry if that was something obvious)

Not at all, it is in fact very important point! We have implemented auto detect user locale to set default language. But we need feedback on that from users, if it is working as expected... :)

in case you don't quite understand: Chinese traditional - for Taiwan (aka Republic of China, or, a free and democratic CHINA if you'd like) and Hong Kong (SAR of CHINA, the CHINA that most people know), while Chinese simplified is for CHINA (except HK). Those you talked to I guess is from CHINA (sometimes aka mainland China to distinguish from Taiwan). We have very different systems, not only language. So I wouldn't know much about it when it comes to mainland China. But that one is obviously the much bigger market. Very few people from Taiwan know about Steem/it. Hopeful I can help with market expanding in Taiwan, but still, you should have Chinese simplified ready before you want to release to the 'China' market. They probably won't use the traditional Chinese version. FYI. :)

Thank you for comments... Yes, indeed.. both Chinese is essential to tap those markets. I heard, Chinese traditional and simplified is only writing difference, is that right?!
Either way, once we have both, we can choose few popular app stores there. What AppStores do you use?

ok, after talking to @shieha , maybe I should ask further: what do you mean by AppStores? we bought Apps mainly via Android platform or Apple platform... is this what you mean?

indeed. I also heard that. but in Taiwan, I guess everything is close to the US. In (mainland) China though, their internet is full of local giants.

Yes that's exactly what I meant! I've heard most Chinese devices used different app stores to download mobile apps...

writing difference (obviously one is 'simplified') is the main one, but some terms (e.g. a post in tr Chn is called 文章 or just 文 which in sim Chn is 帖) are different but most people can understand each other, just feel weird.
As for AppStores, you got me. I am totally ignorant. I will get another friend @shieha to answer here. :)

We used simplified Chinese in Singapore but even the words are the same , the terms and context can be different. Agree it its best to have someone from China do the simplified Chinese for a bigger reach.

汉语 Does it mean Chinese traditional?

no, it means Chinese and in the form of simplified Chinese. but most of the time, people use "繁體中文" ("繁体中文") for traditional Chinese and "簡體中文" ("简体中文" ) for simplified Chinese. Here I use the traditional Chinese form and the simplified versions are in the brackets. I hope you get it. :)

Thanks for clarifying! It will basically be used when user chooses their own language written in native language! 😉

I have translated 7% of ukrainian alredy )

That's great, keep us posted... hope more Ukrainian people will join to help you out as well 😉
