Karwa Chauth mehndi(henna)

In this blog i will tell you about every rituals we are following on that particular day. Apply henna designs in their hands, which is the mandatory part, no one can skip this Ritual. Many of old ladies just put circle in their hands with mehndi instead of drawing designs. It is believes that applying mehndi on this occasion enhance your beauty, spiritual enlightenment and make you feel happy. it is also believed that the darker the colour of mehndi, deeper the love of husband for her

This Ritual playing an very important role in this festival, it is performed early in the morning around 4 A.M. This is actually different varieties of cuisine decorated on plate which is offered by mother inlaws to daughter in law, after eating given stuff in the early morning, their start their fast till the evening. This food is the kind of blessing to remain fit and energetic during the day time as they can not even have a single drop of water.

Karwa chauth Baya

This is the rituals performed by mother in law gives gifts to daughter in law as the token of love and shower of blessings. The gifts can be anything like gold items, clothes, sweets, money etc.

Karwa chauth shringar(makeup)

It is believed that is the one of the most toughest fast after the marriage as because ladies can not even sip the drop of water till the moon rise. Hence the only way to stress out your hunger, is to think more about looking prettiest in the evening during the puja time. In my house ladies started ready at 5.30 p.m. to do makeup and make hair do, even on particular day their wore new saree and buy new accessories and jewellery to look more beautiful. This is only way their are excited for the festival and forget about their craving for food. These are beautiful ladies of my house. They are ready to do puja.

karwa Chauth pooja(worship)

In india festival is incomplete without the worship, same as the karwa chauth also it is not all about fasting, it is associated with beautiful customs and rituals too. women worship the lord shiv and parvati with the earthen pot(karwa), sweets and all-purpose flours marithi(snack). In elder member of the family narrates the story to all the fasting women. After that ladies used to exchange their karwa through their legs.

I gotta confess: I have a weakness for India. I love their culture, landscapes, rivers, temples, or at least the few things I know comparing with such a wide and extense culture. That's why I like your posts. And this one was great, the food, the henna painting, the explanations... Thank you for sharing this with us.
