Some NFL Players want to be “paid in Bitcoin”

There are stories coming out that a few NFL Players wish to be paid in Bitcoin as opposed to US Dollars.
Several Twitter feeds have shown that NFL Players are “unhappy” that the NFL / Teams have rejected these requests thus far.
Why?
Maybe there is some risk associated with “bitcoin only” agreement.
How about a 10% option or 25% option for Bitcoin compensation?
I suspect this is a topic that will see greater traction not only across the NFL, but other companies as well.
When Bitcoin hit’s $20,000 again there will be demands from all over society for at least having an “option” for BTC payment.
I can imagine some companies will be luring talent away with such a payment option.
We will see.
I don't see any advantage though, as they can just convert fiat payment to BTC if they want to, or vice versa. So getting paid in anything is the same as long as they get paid. Unless they want privacy
You would think they could figure that out.....what can I say?
