Freewrite Day 387 Tongue
One of my guilty pleasures is looking at gossip and fashion sites online. I am not fashionable and do not watch movies or tv, so I am not really sure why this holds my interest. But I have done this forever and before the internet would look at magazines for the same purpose. I guess I like seeing the pretty clothes and keeping up with the latest sleazy news.
Recently – in the last few years – I have noticed celebrities and models sticking their tongues out for casual photos and for fashion shoots. Sometimes a whole family will be photographed and the adults and children are all sticking their tongues out.
This was not present in past years. I wonder why they do this as it is not very attractive for most peoples faces and certainly does not help to sell clothes, shoes, or jewelry.
I don’t think I stick my tongue out except when needed for a dental or medical appointment. I don’t remember my son ever doing this while I raised him. So why is it so common in the world of celebrities? I may never know and I hope they stop it so I no longer have to think about it.

You were right, absolutely right ma, it wasn't so while growing up too for me, the only thing I can point out is that, the world is going gaga, crazier and more stupid by the day, courtsey of those daughters and sons of Belial.

Must confess that's also one of my guilty pleasures ;);) AND I cannot understand this fad of posing with tongues stuck out, REALLY does not look good at all!
I can't think of any way less attractive for photo session!
Now, I need to pick up a magazine and check that out. Sticking out the tongue. Hmm. Porn models have done that forever - I am assuming it is supposed to be sexy. Maybe mainstream has taking it on without figuring out the origins...
Well I am not looking at porn, lol. You can see it in Cosmo and Glamour now - not good!
Because they always have to find new ways to surprise and shock and they just keep on going...
