Mithu Ghosh, a non-government organization official who was hijacking, told reporters that he was returning home from the Jubilee Road branch of the Dhaka Bank city on Wednesday at around 3-500 pm. When the rickshaw carrying him rushed to Naval Crossing area of ​​Noor Ahmad road, he resisted the speed and tried to force him into an autorickshaw, the hijackers. Later, he took away the bag of money in his hand and fled from the auto-rickshaw and fled the robbers. At that time, he shouted people gathered nearby.

Deputy Commissioner of Police of Chittagong City Police Mohammad Shahidullah said that a team of Detective Police chased the hijackers fleeing the auto-rickshaw after seeing the people gathered. In the CRB areas, the vehicle was stopped and four people including Maksudur Rahman were arrested. Later, the money was recovered from the car, robbery with arms, guns.

Police officer Shahidullah further said, after the arrest, four hijackers admitted that they had been robbed by auto-rickshaws for a long time. Even before being caught, they hijacked the same place. In the last two months, they handed over 12 hijacking information to the police. But the victims did not file the case with the police. They hijacked Reazuddin Bazar, Amtala, Gani Baker, Almas Cinemas, WASA, and CRB areas of the city. There are four people with the driver in their team.

City Detective Police Assistant Commissioner Mobasher Hossain said, there are two cases filed against Maksud by the Kotwali Police Station and the Narcotics Act.
