Reading Motivation Increasing
Based on a survey conducted by UNESCO showed less encouraging results of reading interest in Indonesia is at the lowest level in ASEAN. This is the factor why our country is hard to compete with other countries. Because reading can open the window of the world. When the window of the world is open, the people of Indonesia will be able to see out, what sides are behind the window. So the way our society thinks it will go and get out of the poverty zone toward a prosperous life. The low interest in reading our society greatly affects the quality of the nation against the Indonesian language, because with the low interest in reading, can not know and follow the development of science and information in the world, where in ahirnya will impact on the backwardness of the Indonesian nation. Therefore, to be able to pursue the progress that has been achieved by neighboring countries, need to foster interest in reading early. When previously read synonymous with books or print media only, then in today's already all digital. According to dictionary gaul reading is no longer fixated on reading the paper because all the latest information teleh available in cyberspace / internet and other electronic media. With the easier media to get reading information then we should increase our reading interest. Below are the first steps to increase our reading interest:
- Build Interest Reading Motivation Increasing reading interest should begin with self-motivation in reading. For me personally the above glance is enough to trigger the importance of reading for society, because that is a must if we want to control the world. By reading, our view becomes open to new things that we do not know before.
- Start Reading Something We Love. One of the biggest mistakes of someone who wants to start getting used to reading is the image of the book and the actual reading he made himself: heavy and boring. Though many kinds of books with diverse characteristics. I started by reading fiction stories like short stories and novels, continuing to practical books (which use keywords: how, steps, tips, tips, etc.), then continue to motivation and self-development books, until now I have started read political and historical books. One thing is certain: adjust to your interests. In order for the intention to read not only comes from the mind, but also from the heart.
- Set aside the right time and convenient for Reading. If the important reading assumption is already attached, then not everyone who read managed to move all the information obtained from reading it on the memory of his brain, due to the timing momentum that is less precise. Or often lazy to read because the timing is less precise. Various people who have the right momentum of reading: some like to read during school hours, or school breaks, some are comfortable reading it on the go, some time before bed, and when in the library. Wear the usual time we spend to stare and wait
4 Growing Want to Know Reading interest should be triggered from us to cultivate curiosity. We must make inquiries every thing that is around us and look for answers in the book. Or you can also look at books in stores or libraries and try to question, "Apasih the contents of this book?" Usually curiosity and curiosity is very effective to move this self to do something.
5 Ask Someone to Recommend Book This is also one of effective search ya to more 'force' this self to immediately start reading. Because the recommended books usually have more value that will make us more eager to read it. Ask your friends, "Uh, have a good book? Minjem dong?
"6. Read As Importantly While still learning to read as necessary. Do not overdo it. The person's needs depend on his or her desire for information. The more you need to the information, then certainly the quantity and quality of your reading will surely be more and better. This is the first step how to improve motivation and interest in reading, hopefully can trigger us to continue and keep reading. Because with a lot of reading will get closer to success.
