Liverpool's Clyne sustains an ACL injury, out 6 months
Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne has suffered an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during the 3 — 2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund, and so faces a possible six months on the sidelines
Clyne, 28, sustained the injury just about when the pre-season friendly at Notre Dame Stadium was about to end. Such an unfortunate development! It was said that the swelling around his knee delayed the confirmation of the diagnosis.
However, according to Liverpool's medical team, the injury is the least severe ACL injury that could have resulted because the damage wasn't that bad, hence the reduced recovery period he was given.
