Ovulation Period😶

Most ladies barely know what ovulation is, when they are ovulating and how to read the chart of ovulation. Some don't even know their safe days and how to plan ovulation day.

My conversation with most ladies about their ovulation, they just laugh and say, I don't know how it works, I sometimes feel cramps round and sometimes get scared and all.

How to know if you're ovulating as a lady
These are some of the symptoms or signs of ovulation.
• Mid-cycle cramps
Mid cycle pain occurs during the release of egg from the ovary, prostaglandin(biochemistry;a group of naturally occurring lipids derived from the C20 acid prostanoic acid; they have a number of physiological functions and may be considered to be hormones source is also released, these process induces mild abdominal pain.

• Change in Cervical or Vaginal Secretion
The vaginal secretion or discharge is usually thick and sticky but during ovulation, this sticky discharge becomes slippery and slimy in nature. It's advised to always or daily observe the changes in your discharge, it tells you when ovulation has occurred.

If the secretion is slippery, can be stretched and wet, avoid unprotected sex
If the mucus is sticky or paste like, you are partially protected.

• Slight or increase in Body temperature
Hormone known as progesterone that us released immediately after ovulation has a thermogenic effect that can increase the body temperature.

That's when you hear some ladies who are sensitive say I feel crampy, feverish and sick and it's advised to stay away from your sexual partner during this period because sometimes for most ladies, urge increases.

It has been proven that a lady could be pregnant from sexual intercourse two days after her ovulation day and two days before her ovulation day, in summary, a woman has chances of becoming pregnant approximately withing five days of her monthly cycle.

It's advised to own a period tracker which shows ovulation day, cycle day and start and end of period date, it helps to track your period and also tell you your safe and unsafe period date. Some ladies have different cycle length and period length but the average period length is 4 days and average cycle length is 28 days.

Hormones: its the substance produced by one tissue and conveyed by the bloodstream to another to effect physiological activitysource
Lipids: its a group of organic compounds including the fats, oils, waxes,sterols, and triglycerides.
