Women work

Can a woman work in a place where she mixes with a man solely because she knows that there are other women workers besides her?

Answer: I am of the opinion that men should not be mixed with women either while working as public or private employees, as well as in public and private schools. In fact, the mixing of men with women can lead to various mafsadat, at least the shame of women will be lost and will lose the dignity of men. For, if men and women have mingled in a place, there is no male authority in the presence of women and there is no longer shyness of women to men. And this (the assimilation of men and women) goes against the Shari'a of Islam and the custom of the Salafush Salih.
