Presumably the origin of this nutmeg tree is from the Maluku islands, rainforest areas in Indonesia. Nutmeg fruit itself is actually a fruit with a single seed and the size is equal to apricot. As the seed of the nutmeg is ripe, the skin of the nutmeg itself will split into two like a curtain.
In Indonesia itself, the nutmeg is often served as a fresh sweet dish or made into candied nutmeg. While the nutmeg seed powder itself is usually used as a seasoning seasoning various kinds of cuisine
