Burung cenderawasih
Burung cenderawasih berukuran besar biasanya hanya menghasilkan satu butir telur. Adapun burung cenderawasih berukuran kecil dapat menghasilkan dua hingga tiga butir telur.
Bukan hanya cenderawasih betina, bahkan manusia pun terpikat oleh keindahan bulu burung cenderawasih. Suku asli Papua menggunakan bulu burung cenderawasih sebagai pelengkap pakaian mereka. Bahkan bulu burung cenderawasih sempat sebagai hiasan topi wanita Eropa di zaman dahulu. Perburuan burung cenderawasih untuk diambil bulunya ini telah mengakibatkan jumlah burung cenderawasih menurun dengan cepat, bahkan terancam punah.
