Longhorn beetle beetle has an antenna that is usually longer than its own body. The antenna contained in the beetle head acts as a sense of smell and as a detector of the surrounding area physically.

As for some other types of beetles, antennas work for mating tools and as a defense against other predatory insects. Generally the type of antenna in the beetle varies greatly, but some also have the same shape.

The beetle is so widespread that it is very easy to find except in the poles and seas. Likewise, beetles can live in a variety of ways and they are generally able to adjust to the ecosystem of residence.

Some of these beetles live by destroying dead animal tissue and plant tissues, consuming carcasses of a certain kind and consuming waste.

Not a few of the species of beetles are useful for agriculture because some of them are able to control mere agriculture. This is the life of beetles rarely known to farmers. Though many species of beetles are quite useful for plants.

If traced the beetle is not a serious and destructive pest, as very few of their species are damaging agricultural produce. For example beetle beetle, cotton beetle, red flour beetle and bean cowhorn beetle. In general the beetle has a very hard frame and wings.
