Mother Nature

As due drops off the top of the roof, I imagine mother nature is sweating. I imagine her to be a woman as old as time yet stronger than an ox.

She is ferocious like a raging beast yet gentle like the lowly lama. Her swift and deadly anger is and has been documented numerously; She was and has been there irrespective of how things are. She gets mad at us and scolds us by using the elements to devastating effect. She burns through the light of day and can engulf whole cities in a blitz, she flows like a stampede and can drown whole communities in an instance. She sends heavy winds that could blow your house to oblivion. She has buried societies in magma as well as snow. Her rage is always to a cataclysmic effect, she is the most dangerous being out there.
Yet in her danger, we revere her. We love and appreciate her for who she is, some of us believe her to be a deity and who can blame us? Her anger is swift and ugly but when she smiles, there's no one more beautiful. She covers the plains in green that feeds the grazers, she blesses the moulds with rain and blesses the universe with golden sun; our ultimate source of energy. Her beauty is seen across the skylines and in the rise and fall of the tides. In hills and mountain ranges and every depth and valley, the birds and the bees sing and dance to her tune. The warm summer breeze and brisk winter air, the elements and the very life you live is yours because she's smiling at you. When Mother smiles, there's nothing more beau
