Stone is such a wonderful medium for building, and yet it destroys the environment if everyone wants to build like that. It's what I like so much about earthships and @eco-alex's work with repurposing tires - it's as effective for insulation etc but not pushing people to create quarries. But I must admit the feel of stone is so very lovely!
