NEVER BE INTIMIDATED
It's in the nature of man to always want to bully, suppress, antagonize, discriminate, rule his fellow man, man's major aspiration on a daily basis is conquest. He attempts to conquer everyone, places and things around him, but guess what?
He most times forgets to conquer himself!
Top on his agenda is trying to make others feel bad, but this is where my argument is predicated. No matter how you are treated, never let anyone make you feel bad. All you need to do is believe in yourself and realize that no one can make you feel worthless without your permission.
Remember how you felt you didn't matter? Remember how people thought you were not important? How they felt your opinions were shallow? Remember those moments in gatherings where they shunned you? How they looked at you with those eyes that said silently: you're not going to be anybody.
Remember how you cried because of it all? How it hurt so badly on the inside? How you felt disconsolate and hopeless? How it overwhelmed you to the point that you felt you really didn't matter? How you had decided to just be a speck instead?
Remember how something clicked on the inside? How you woke up the next morning and decided it was enough? How you worked on yourself? Challenged yourself? How you had sleepless nights because you wanted to prove them wrong? How you faced your fears?
Remember how people now wants to be your friend? How they all now wants to identify with you? How your opinions now matter? How your words are now 'yay and amen'? How they keep saying you're now somebody? How they now wants to meet with you and take a selfie?
Does it not tell you that you've come far? Does it not say a lot about the battles you've fought and won? So, why do you want to turn your back and give up? Why do you want to give in? Why do you feel sad? Why are you unhappy?
Well, I just came to make you remember them all, if you have forgotten. Don't give up, because there are people who aren't happy you proved them wrong. They're waiting, silently watching for you fail.
If there's a reason you shouldn't give up, it is to keep proving these set of individuals wrong.
