Many people who think that the land of Papua is one area that is very thick with the Christian religion. But this assumption began to be ignored little by little by Ustadz Fadlan Garamatan who so diligently broadcast da'wah and also the mission of Islam to the land of Papua (he and Muslims prefer to call Nuu Waar or Irian, not Papua)
Ustadz Fadlan is not a graduate of a pesantren, nor an Islamic campus, much less an Islamic study in the Middle East. He is only a graduate of the Faculty of Economics. But after graduation, instead of registering civil servants or serious business, Ustadz Fadlan prefers to be employees of God. Yes, he focuses on preaching.
Exiting in jail is the usual hurdle he experienced in da'wah in Irian, especially after successfully incorporating several families in the city of Jayapura.
Of the many obstacles that exist in implementing mission da'wah Ustadz Fadlan with all the confidence that he has struggled and tried to be able to deal with it with all his might.
In some talk shows ever conducted ustadz leader of the movement of da'wah Papua - Alfatih Kaffah Nusanrara (AFKN), once told his experience is so bitter and worthy to be our reflection. Whenever one day when he preached in a remote village in Papua, he got a very brutal attack from the surrounding community.
Ustadz Fadlan and his seven entourage were attacked using arrows. As a result of the incident one of Ustadz Fadlan's arms broke.
Ustadz Fadlan also once said that to enter a remote area in his mission mission sometimes he had to walk up to 12 days, but all the problems that can be overcome well.
Thousands of people have converted to Islam through their wasabi, including tribal chiefs who now live more civilized than before when converting to Christianity.
10,000 santri from Irian have also been educated and prepared to go back to Kampung Halaman, and color Islamic preaching throughout the archipelago.
