My view on introduction to business

Hi fellow steemians, I will be saying one or two things about business. The background of business traces the history of man's efforts at the satisfaction of his needs and wants. Bare necessities for existence in the forms of food, clothing and shelter were man's preoccupation during the primitive period. Economic activities then were limited or concentrated on satisfying these basic needs of man. Men also gathered wild fruits and animals for food and sometimes also did some fishing. Men lived in cave for shelter and used animal skin for clothing.

Things Changed considerably in modern times as man's needs became extensive and economic activities more complex. It became impossible for man to exclusively satisfy his needs as human wants increased in number and complexity. Man then turned from independence to dependence as his needs satisfaction could no longer be based on his individual enterprise but on other people's efforts. There arose the need for exchange as man became specialized in the modern day.

In our world today, the prosperity and development of a society depends so much on the skill and expertise of managers who are the driving force behind organizations in the business world. The successful operation of a business is determined by the competence of its managers. Invariably, the prosperity of a country in which these businesses function is dependent on their success.

Management has an important role to play in satisfying needs and creating wealth in the society. The focus here is the management of small scale businesses to satisfy the need and wants of the society in which they operate. Individuals have needs. Therefore a business organization operates to satisfy these needs and wants of the society.
