Takengon merupakan suatu kota yang terletak di daerah pengunungan dimana tidak asing lagi akan hawanya yang sangatlah dingin serta jalan yang di tempuhnya sangatkah berliku liku karena pada dasarnya daerah perbukitan emang begitu.
Akan tetapi ketika telah sampai kesana akan di sedukan dengan pemandangan yang sangatlah indah serta hawa yang sangat sejuk.serta aktivitas warga pada dasarnya yaitu bercocok tanam kopi sehingga tanah tersebut menghasilkan bubuk kopi ternikmat didunia dengan rasa yang begitu menggoda, selain menanam kopi masyarakat pada umumnya juga bercocok tanam sayuran dan sejenisnya
