Tarian ranup lampuan merupakan sebuah tarian yang dijuluki sebagai taruan mulia atau juga tarian khusus untuk menyambut kedatangan tamu.
Untuk wilayah lainnya memiliki tarian tersendiri atau juga tarian daerah.
Namun di Aceh tarian khasnya lain dengan tarian penyambut tamu, seperti saman, seudati dll.
