eSteem Awesome Contest Entry

Well, it's obvious. This is an entry to eSteem Awesome Contest!

eSteem is not the best app out there (experience just doesn't seem fluent!) but still it has some cool features that makes the steemit experience better. I use eSteem and Steemit web both to satisfy my needs.

Notifications

This is primary reason why I use eSteem. You can turn on notifications and get notification about Comment/upvote/resteem and most importantly about mentions - you can set them individually from settings and get notification whenever that particular action happens.

Transfer and edit information without password

When you transfer through esteem or edit your profile information you don't have to enter password to confirm action unlike steemit web.

Of course, some may don't like it for security reasons. If you feel so there is "Pin Code" option in settings, so on start of eSteem app it will ask for pin code to use the app. Happy?

Disabling images

Disabling images makes the surfing hell lot faster on low speed Internet connections. And if you want see some image you can simply tap to see it, easy right?

To disable automatic loading of images, go to settings and turn off "Fetch Images".

Change node to use eSteem without hassle

There were many cases when steemit web was offline but esteem was up. If one node don't work simply change to another.

To change the node, Go to settings >> server.

Free upvotes

Who doesn't like free things? Using eSteem gives you small up votes. When you are new here every bit counts and these gives you some nice reputation boost too.

Get voting slider without having 500 SP

As you might know that when you have minimum 500 sp you get voting slider which you can use to vote in percentages. But, when using eSteem you get this voting slider without having 500 sp.

And here are some more features I use sometimes:

• View payouts in your your national currency

• Manage Multiple accounts

• Use steemit in your language: eSteem is available in tons of languages.

• Login with active key or posting key: If you are not comfortable sharing your master password then simply login with active/posting key.
