ELEAGUE Boston 2018 Quarterfinals Playoff Predictions

What a major it has been and what a long journey it has been for most of these teams! Having to qualify for challenger spots as part of valves new major rule change. We are now down to the final 8 teams, 6 of those teams are teams that rose to the occasion garnered Legend Status(i.e. will not have to qualify for the next major). The teams will be going head to head in a best of 3 format. Winner advances loser is sent packing. Matches start January 26, 2018 @ 10am EST

Our first match will be between FaZe Clan and mousesports. I see the lack of experience being an issue for mousesports in this one, I see lot's of mistakes being made in which the veterans of FaZe will take advantage of. When you have the likes of olof, guardian, nik0, and rain, how can you not take down a mistaken proned mousesports team. Mousesports is a powerhouse but I don't think this major is their time.

Prediction: FaZe 2-0

The next match of the day will be between NaVi and the red hot QB Fire. Was Zeus the problem? No..no he wasn't making his return to the big stage after winning Krakow 2017 with Gambit, Zeus looks to take his momentum and NaVi to their first title, but there is one issue. The flaming hot QB Fire taking down everyone in their path. This could be a huge upset in the making as teams have not been able to match up well against this team. QBF is looking alot like BIG of Krakow but will we see the same.

Prediction: QBF 2-1

The third match-up of the day will be Cloud9 versus the Frenchmen of G2 Esports. G2 has been under the radar since they super team was formed, they have been performing under par and have been a huge disappointment. But they seem to have found their stride and have been performing how everyone had envisions. The Frenchmen have been undefeated the entire tournament completing the challenger qualifiers 3-0 and taking the first legend spot after 3 more dominant wins leaving them 6-0 throughout the entire tournament. The last time these two teams met week 1 of the playoff stage G2 came out victorious. Cloud9 had a strong start completeing the challenger qualifiers 3-0 but fell in a bit of a slum, dropping their first match to G2 then losing a tight one against space soliders the following day. On the bring of elimination Cloud9 somehow managed to fight their way to legends status finishing 3-2. This should be a tight and fun match to watch.

Prediction: G2 2-1

The last match of the day will come between the only 2 remaining legends from the last class. The two legendary organizations who have been duking it out since the early 1.5 days. It's always been SK and FNATIC, who will come out victories?
