RE: All about the Tibetan mantras

in #esoterics7 years ago (edited)

I'm going to look deeper into this later today. I want to know more, specifically how this works, if that is even possible :). But, yes, from my limited understanding is the intention and the repetition with a certain knowing is key. Nice to meet you my friend @adeptus

hello soul sista!
WHY this works i think goes well beyond what science can understand. Certain sounds and words are sacred, and some have also been empowered by great spirits and (in this case) monks to allow others to connect to it when they chant. Its like a telephone line to another vibration!

Hi! It's really true! Many mantras promote spiritual growth and receive high vibrations. This goes beyond the usual knowledge. Energy centres (chakras) must be open to universe :) This contributes greatly to the meditation and chanting of mantras.

Hi @eco-alex thank you for your input. I did do research and wrote a couple of essays on it published yesterday and the day before yesterday as to what the Buddhists actually believe that the chanting purifies the body and mind and certain phrases are the syllables of whatever intention they have. Om Mani Padme Hum being the most important because those 6 syllables contain the entire teaching of the dharma. I broke it done on Wednesday's essay. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Nice to meet you, too! Good luck in your spiritual practices :) Light and love your soul! You will definitely get the desired result @soulsistashakti :)

Hello soulsistashakti, how this works got something to do with 'Naad' the holy (silent sound) vibration within the mind that is created by listening or singing along with devotional music or chanting. When music has this devotional intention and the right sound vibrations to go with it, then we get in touch with this Holy vibration inside our minds which blocks out all other cacophony, inside noise in our minds and brings us to silence. Take a look at my post about the Gayatri for Goddess Lakshmi.
