Our Steemian @fredrikaa at ESA Mega Trends Workshop
Recently @fredrikaa who works at the European Space Agency attended the workshop where they were also discussing blockchain technology. As per request I recorded a clip of him asking a question related to incentivizing user engagement for projects in the future.

They mention how Hyperloop also incentivizes activity toward the project with shares, more and more people and projects are realizing that having a wide userbase that share ideas and improvements while rewarding them is a good way to go forward.
Its nice to know that blockchain and specifically DPOS makes this a lot easier to reward the community through votes for their inputs and solutions.
This event was livestreamed and some Steemians on steemit.chat were lucky enough to be around when @fredrikaa pasted a link to it allowing us to watch him live at work. :)

It was fun to see the steemit logo appear in one of their slides, although I question some of the other mentions alongside it :P
But yes, I would hope to see many open innovation co-creation projects on what we can do in space, what kind of structures we can build on Mars, what type of experiments we can send to different moons etc, all discussed, designed and proposed by open discussion forums where people get rewarded through participation with tokens that can be used to either get a share in resulting projects or something else cool. I can totally see that being a space-parallel to the hyperloop mentioned by Frank Salzgeber in this video, and would be awesome if it was run as a SMT on the steem blockchain :) happy to have been there!
Wow that is cool to see the Steemit logo on one of ESA slides :)) I can see also the logo of Bloq which is very cool as well they are releasing a token called Metronome. The innovation by Metronome is above all the property of working on different blockchains. Bloq is working with the ability of Metronomes to oscillate from blockchain to blockchain. In contrast to Bitcoin, which runs only on the Bitcoin blockchain, Metronomes is to guarantee more security through its leap.
I follow you now and looking forward to read some great posts from you about Mars structures, Hyperloop and all that other cool stuff above us in combination with blockchain technology.
Conventions like this might be boring for the "regular people", but people participating are usually part of the brightest and bravest of these modern times.
People who used to be adventurers and looked for new continents could nowadays be those who are pushing forward for the innovative technologies and into different ways to use them.
Participating with questions and comments like this can open new paths in the innovations we are having. You can usually recognize the people who have imagination and knowledge, compared to those who ask questions only because they do not understand.

I think both of those are a good thing. Problem is, when something is new (and unfamiliar) most people don't even bother to ask and learn about it.
You are correct. I didn't mean it's a bad thing to ask if you don't knoe, but there are questions which take you forward and questions which bring the entire idea forward.
Luckily sometimes you can help innovations to advance even when you are the one not understanding the subject! Rare though, but possible.
I did get why you said it, but before one can apply their knowledge and imagination, one has to learn about it, and therefore ask the "newbie" questions first ;)

This last guy is right on the point. It's also where I see the Blockchain heading towards in the future. Where people work in a kind of freelancer thing without a salary, but rather by being a part of the company itself by owning shares (tokens).
The word is spreading across! Great to see Steemians talking about it, and of course we need to spread it to many people. I had a similar conversation with others in one of the events.

I didn't know about Hyperloop having "volunteers" or "public investors" being engaged in it. It does makes sense, to create customer engagement to improve the success of a product or project.
Basically every project could be a Kickstarter (with shares) or (SMT company). At the moment I find it hard to imagine that people are going to buy or receive hundreds of different coins for each service they use.
At the same time, I have a feeling this is going to be the future.

It is great to see that a agency like ESA and many others discussing blockchain technology. For a long time now I am telling all my friends and family how blockchain technology is changing the world for the moment but many of them don't get it so it is important to spread the word and explain them about this great technology, for that I love Steemit and other platforms you can write, read and learn a lot about the blockchain technology.This is why I tell them all to join Steemit. Good to know that the Steemit community has a member with @fredrikaa who works for ESA. I follow him now thanks for sharing this with us @acidyo.

They aren't directly, but ESA amongst others could use blockchain technology to gain different advantages.
And Steemit is based on blockchain and user @fredrikaa is working for ESA. That might be the biggest link we have ;)
