Facist Facebook Enlists Eric Holder's Law Firm To "Advise" On Bias Against Conservatives

Criminal gun runner and disgraced former Attorney General Eric Holder, who has been retained by the State of California to attack virtually anything and everything coming out of the Trump administration is also a partner at a law firm that has now been hired by Facebook to advise them on bias against conservatives.

As if Facebook wasn't already shutting down free speech from their opposition, they employee the likes of a law firm whose partner acknowledges that he wants to brainwash people.

The advisement comes as Facebook, along with Twitter and Google, as well as other social media outlets have clearly been engaging in censorship of Conservative, Christian and Constitutional voices across their platforms.

The civil rights audit will be guided by Laura Murphy, a national civil liberties and civil rights leader. Murphy will take feedback from civil rights groups, like The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and advise Facebook on the best path forward.

• Relman, Dane & Colfax, a prominent law firm based in Washington, will carry out a comprehensive civil rights audit of Facebook's services and internal operations. The firm has litigated some of the most pivotal cases relating to housing, employment and public accommodation discrimination over the past two decades.
• The Leadership Conference, along with other organizations, had called for such a review last year.

The conservative bias advising partnership will be led by former Arizona Republican Sen. Jon Kyl, along with his team at Covington and Burling, a Washington law firm.

• Kyl will examine concerns about alleged liberal bias on Facebook, internally and on its services. They will get feedback directly from conservative groups and advise Facebook on the best way to work with these groups moving forward.

• The Heritage Foundation, a conservative public policy think tank, will convene meetings on these issues with Facebook executives. Last week the group brought in tech policy expert Klon Kitchen to host an event with Facebook's head of global policy management, Monika Bickert.

The allegations against Facebook are so clear, that even Congress wanted to know what was going on, but all of that only seemed to embolden Facebook, especially after the recent Nazi-style targeting of voices like Diamond & Silk.

Some have spoken in a very optimistic fashion about this new development.

Rob Bluey, Vice President of Communications at Heritage and Editor-in-chief of The Daily Signal, said, “From what I've heard, it sounds encouraging that Facebook is taking steps to evaluate where things stand in the marketplace and hear concerns.”

“We are encouraged by Facebook’s commitment to conduct a civil rights audit of the company and its products, and the team they have selected to do it....We will remain vigilant until Facebook does everything in its power to reduce the civil rights harm its platform enables," said Vanita Gupta, president and CEO of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights.

However, there are many of us who question if this is not simply damage control and a public relations operation in light of all the attention Facebook has gotten on the issue and the revenue it has lost.

Conservative anti-Islamic jihad crusader Pamela Geller said upon hearing the news, "Eric Holder? An-alt left ideologue? The man who weaponized the DoJ in the cause of the hard left is going to advise them on combating perceptions of bias against conservatives?"

She went on to ask, "Is Zuckerberg capable of hiring a conservative, let alone of recognizing bias against conservatives? My Facebook page with one million followers is banned from those very followers. And I am hardly alone. This has been going on since the election of Donald J Trump."

"We need anti-trust legislation and we need it now," Geller continued. "It’s war. People do not understand what is at stake and what they have lost. Social media is the public square and our First Amendment rights should be first and foremost. Either we go quietly into the cold, dark night or we go to war."

I agree, people don't understand, and although I wonder just whether or not anti-trust legislation would work and what it would look like versus letting the free market take its course, which seems to be hammering Facebook at the moment, I do clearly understand her concerns.

Of course, Facebook doesn't want to be regulated, and I honestly have concerns about some of that myself.

Facebook has recently been engaged in outreach to conservative organizations, but their focus has not been on censorship concerns, but instead on securing free-market allies against the threat of regulation.

One of those allies, Berin Szóka of TechFreedom, told a congressional hearing on social media censorship that regulating social media companies to protect free speech was contrary to conservative values. He did not explain how a market dominated by monopolies like Facebook and Google is still “free.”

Szóka, along with other free-market conservatives, had previously been invited to a meeting with Facebook representatives aimed at fending off the so-called “rush to regulate” the platform, which holds a dominant position in the social media market with over 2 billion users.
Here's the thing, it is not Facebook's job to restrict or regulate the free flow of information on its website. The content is provided by the users. If Facebook was smart, they would simply allow the users to either censor what they don't want to see or report criminal activity to those authorized by the people to deal with it.

However, Facebook, like big government, thinks they need to treat us like children and sanitize the platform for us. Nothing could be further from the truth.

What is needed now, more than ever, is to allow the free flow of information and let the public discern the truth from the lies. Frankly, I've had enough of the calls from some of these so-called fact checkers that the sites I write for are "fake news" without a shred of evidence of things being faked, while they merely gloss over outlets like CNN as simply "left-leaning" and biased. CNN has known fabrications of stories that never occurred!

Facebook is doing the same by employing the likes of an outlet for fact-checking that employees porn stars, hookers, dominatrixes and embezzlers. They can't be taken seriously about their fact checking and they can't be taken seriously about this little episode regarding acquiring the services of Eric Holder's law firm to advise on conservative bias.

In March, instead of Holder calling on DC to regulate Facebook like he did concerning guns, he said they might need their own regulatory system.

Former Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday that companies such as Facebook may need their own regulation system given news stories showing how the company’s service can and has been manipulated.

“There is a way in which I think we have to think of these platforms as communication companies, and what then does that mean in terms of how they should be regulated,” Holder said during a talk with The New York Times’ Alex Burns. “They’re maybe not exactly like traditional communications companies, and so maybe we ought to be looking at a different regulatory scheme.”

Holder’s calls for more potential government oversight — something that is becoming more common by the day — was in response to question posed by Burns over whether the government needs to intervene in the social media industry since Russian operatives reportedly tried to stoke the already-impassioned flames of division in the U.S through social media.

“That question has to be asked,” Holder continued, while saying there needs to be some freedom to avoid stifling innovation and freedom to communicate. “I think these hearings that are coming up, I hope we’ll keep to a minimum the grandstanding going on. There needs to be a real, substantive interaction between people who run these platforms and people who pass the laws so that we can come up with a scheme that will protect people from the kind of breaches that have occurred.”
Well, honestly, I prefer that over government intervention. I genuinely do. Most people forget that the First Amendment limits Congress, not businesses and individuals. However, when the censorship is so blatant, such as has come out of Facebook, Twitter and Google, it's time for the people to simply abandon a bad business model and start providing their patronage to those companies that actually respect them.

If you're going to use Facebook, don't give them money, don't click on their ads, and finally, share all the conservative, constitutional, and Christian content you can!
