Equilibrium: The inter-operable cross-chain money market that will redefine how to do decentralized finance forever!
Good morning to all here on Steemit, crypto space, and all EOS fans and users! Today, I will talk about Equilibrium. This is a project made in the unison of Polkadot and the EOS team and community. This is is a Defi project that tackles and solves all problems that are arising in the Defi crypto space right now. I will tell you why Equilibrium, Nut token, EOS and EOSDT will be the primary powerhouse in the DEFI space in the next coming days and weeks.
What is the Equilibrium?
---> As I have read the Equlibrium's Medium blog and read the main concept of the project, I was amazed by it not only because of the technology behind it but also of the team and the grants given to them because it solves the main problem especially these times wherein banks, economy and other financial institutions collapse. Decentralization wherein every people in the world should Enjoy. The DEFI or Decentralized Finance is the thing that were needed.
Going back as to what is Equilibrium is, Equilibrium is a project wherein this project has the capability to interoperate with different blockchains not just within the EOS ecosystem but also the ones under the POLKADOT ecosystem and other blockchains such as the one which is currently running in the Bitcoin Network. As you can see, the other ones in development are Binance Chain as well as Ethereum chain which we know have the blockchain names such as BEP-2 and ERC-20 respectively. Then the other that is being planned are Ripple technology, Tezos blockchain, and Tron blockchain also known as Tronscan. Could you see the power of Polkadot and EOS technology? It is really amazing, right? If before, you can only transact within the blockchain where you are and the tokens within it, with Equilibrium, you will be able to participate in the Defi ecosystem and do the following:
Let me discuss you each of those capabilities of the EQUILIBRIUM ECOSYSTEM and the EQ token
Lend---> There is a saying that in order to create wealth, you should lend and not be in debt. I agree to that. One of the passive income opportunities in the crypto space especially in Defi space is the lending part. This is where you can provide your idle or just sitting crypto assets to work and make your crypto work for you! With different APYs per coin or asset, you can choose what to lend with the highest yield for you.
Borrow---> This is what you will do if you wanted to buy something without cashing out your crypto to hedge the upside potential and you think you can pay the interest in order to avoid liquidation. Depending on the asset you are borrowing, there are different interest rates on top of the borrowed money or crypto. The beauty of borrowing on Equilibrium will be there will be different synthetic assets that you can borrow with the use of the platform.
Trading---> Of course in the Defi decentralized space, you should be also able to trade between assets and Equilibrium allows you to do this! No more sending it out to other exchanges just to find the pair that you need. All you need is the EQ platform because it will be blockchain agnostic! Meaning you can interoperate trade between chains simultaneously because of the Polkadot technology and EOS technology as well.
Staking---> This is the best thing to do in cryptocurrency. There are no fixed returns unlike the lending but you will have more potential to add more tokens to your portfolio by securing the EQ network by staking your tokens in here. Giving you returns wherein the more tokens you stake, the more minted tokens will be yours as well because of you securing the network. Delegated proof of stake is the other one wherein one of the representatives will be holding a smart contract and they are the ones who will pool the funds and stake it as one validator major node.
COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES AND FEATURES
a. Cross-chain compatibility with decentralized exchange capability--> This is the one that I am talking about wherein you will be able to interact with the different blockchain without going out of the Equilibrium platform.
b. Liquidity guaranteed--> Because it is cross-chained, you will be assured that your transactions will be fulfilled in real-time and at the best possible price. The equilibrium means equivalent. Hence the name of the project. No other platform can guarantee you that. Only Equilibrium.
c. Programmatic interest rate--> With EOS technology and oracle pricing technology, the real-time valuation of each crypto and its corresponding actual data with loan interest charges and other needed for you to have a fair loan price will be on the Equilibrium system. Giving you the best deal whenever you wanted to borrow assets.
d. Bailout liquidity--> If you have EQ tokens in the EQ liquidity pool, as per the EQ system, whenever there is a liquidation happening because of under collateralization already and the debtor cannot pay the loan, you will be able to save it and be able to earn more yields because of being the savior of the liquidity pool for loans.
How Equilibrium protects the loan and its funds in the ecosystem? I saw this
There are 3 layers as you can see, over-collateralization which covers the loans if ever the debtor cannot payback. Once they cannot pay it back, the bailsmen with their liquidity can have the loan at a much-discounted rate and have the yields with themselves already. The last line of defense is the 13 Million USD fund of the system to ensure stability. Now that is what we call the sustainability of the project.
PRODUCTS UNDER EQUILIBRIUM
- EOSDT--> The stablecoin of the EOS blockchain. With EOS and BTC, you can mint the EOSDT token and be able to have a pegged US dollar stablecoin wherein you could use it for other Defi dapps. Instead of just having EOS, you will be able to hold to that EOS while having the EOSDT go to wherever you need to be it like for buying other assets without selling your EOS.

The staking rewards come from block producers from EOSDT who pays staking rewards from the collateral of EOS, EOSDT minting fees goes to the stakers as well every time this happens and the EOSREX as well.
- Pyramiding--> I know what you are thinking, sounds familiar right? Because you are using the other people's money in here. This is similar to margin trading. If you are a pro, you may borrow the funds of the EQ system and be able to maximize your gains in the upmarket. Be careful because if the market goes against you, your deposited EOS could be liquidated as well.

- Voting--> This is the other opportunity wherein you can earn rewards by staking your NUT to your block producers in the EOS platform. By doing so, you will be able to reap or yield rewards based on the NUT that you stake in the platform. See the sample screenshot below.

Summary: In my short time learning about Defi, this is the first time wherein I am extremely bullish with EOS ecosystem. I know that maybe all of you always hear the ones from other blockchains but this project has the best developers and internet-of-things type of programmers.
