Epic Dice has an innovative feature which enable players to wager their EPC tokens and earn STEEM as rewards. This is a very new feature that was added two weeks ago. This gives out more options for users who has EPC tokens. Either they can hold it and earn daily dividends or wager them and earn EPC tokens.

But "what" is the mechanism behind that? This topic was already explained by this Official Post but for the purposes of explaining more about this, I'd like to give a review in layman's term.

The Mechanism Behind EPC Token Betting.

The idea is simple, you bet EPC tokens and earn Steem from your bets. The current EPC rate (which can be seen from the site) is 1.044 Steem per 100k EPC token wagered. This rate will increase everyday! This is assumed you'll be betting in (under 50) or (over 51) so if you bet with a higher percentage of winning, the payout will also decrease.

To reward our EPC wagering, there's a separate "pool" epicdice allocates every hour via @epicpool. This "pool" will be used to fund players rewards when they wager EPC tokens. Every hour, 3 Steems will be added to the pool from @epictoken.

Once the prizepool gets drained (from players winnings and there's no left to distribute), EPC bets are temporarily disabled and will have to wait for the next hour for the pot from @epicpool.

Note that when you bet EPC tokens :

• When you win, 5% of the EPC tokens wagered will be burned via @null account. You only get 95% of the EPC tokens you wagered.
• If you lose, all of your EPC tokens gets burned via @null account.
