The only part where I disagree is that you still hold ETH. :)
From a technical perspective, ETH would have to be rewritten completely to solve the scaling, governance, centralization, performance and gas issues. This is exactly what block.one is doing with Dan Larimer on board. The first real-world blockchain platform on top of which all other blockchain projects could be run.
