A co-founder of Wikipedia doesn't like what Wikipedia has become.
Dr. Larry Sanger has been an outspoken critic of the online encyclopedia he helped found for some time, but his latest move, joining venture-backed startup Everipedia as its chief information officer shows just how serious he is about disrupting the model.
Revealed today alongside news of Sanger's hire, Everipedia is moving the entire process of approving articles, making edits and storing information to the EOS blockchain.
One of the key benefits of doing this on the blockchain is the transparency and accountability to be had with editing and revising works. Also, editing contributors will be rewards for contributing with 'IQ' tokens. Looking forward to the whitepaper and early prototypes of Everipedia on the EOS blockchain.

I was just reading that this morning. I too am excited for the white paper. I wonder if this will increase the quality of the content enough to compete with Wikipedia?
That's the hope. And I do think with the blockchain incentive structure, we could really see a far superior quality to Wikipedia.
